Heute
Morgen holte ich bei Mehmet im Kapi Restaurant das versprochene frisch
gebackene Brot zum Frühstück ab, das wir unter anderem gemütlich in der Bucht
genossen. Wir hatten bereits etwas Routine bezüglich was es so alles braucht
bis wir auslaufen konnten, und um 10:15 Uhr ging es los auf unseren zweiten

Es hatte
kaum und zu wenig Wind zum Segeln, so brauchten wir den Motor um vorwärts zu
kommen. Wir passierten Ölu Deniz, den berühmtesten Strand der Türkei, und die Kaltwasserbucht
Bestas Limani. Zum Mittagessen servierte uns Sonja (wie jeden Segeltag) einen
fantastischen Salat - der war sooo lecker, dass wir in den Restaurants den
Salat immer wegliessen!
There was little and no wind for sailing, that’s why we needed the engine to get ahead. We passed Ölu Deniz, the most famous beach in Turkey, and the cold-water bay Bestas Limani. For lunch Sonja served a fantastic salad (like on every sailing day) - which was sooo delicious that we always skipped the salad at the restaurants!

Kurz vor
14 Uhr nach 3 ½ Stunden auf See erreichten wir die Insel Gemiler, wo wir
ankerten und unsere Landleinen mit Hilfe per Boot eines freundlichen und geschäftstüchtigen Türken an der Insel
befestigt wurden.
Shortly before 2 pm after 3 ½ hours at sea we reached the island of Gemiler, where we anchored and our land lines were fastened to the island with help from a friendly and business-minded Turk by boat.

Nach
unserem obligaten Happy Landing Drink, beschloss Heidy im kristallklaren Meer schwimmen
zu gehen und Sonja, Sämi und ich machten das erste und einzige Mal Gebrauch von
unserem Dinghy. Wir fuhren zu den Ruinen von St. Nicholas, die von mehreren
Religionen über mehrere Jahrhunderte gebaut wurden. Speziell ist der gedeckte
Tunnel, der von der Kuppel des Hügels bis ans Meer reicht…
After our obligatory happy landing drink, Heidy decided to go for a swim in the crystal-clear sea and Sonja, Sämi and I made the first and only use of our dinghy. We drove to the ruins of St. Nicholas, which were built by several religions over several centuries. The covered tunnel that extends from the top of the hill to the sea is very special…

Zum Apero
holten wir Heidy ab und fuhren zum Gemiler Beach Restaurant. Langsam
verschwanden auch die letzten Tagestouristen und es wurde ruhiger in der Bucht.
Bevor unser Gummiboot wieder sicher auf dem Segelboot verstaut wurde,
unternahmen wir eine Fahrt durch die Bucht. Zum Abendessen kochte uns Sonja
Pasta und wir machten uns einen gemütlichen Abend an Bord.

Thereafter we picked up Heidy and
drove to Gemiler Beach Restaurant for an appetizer. Slowly the last day
tourists disappeared and a veil of silence drew over the bay. Before our rubber
boat was safely stowed on the sailboat, we took a drive through the bay. For
dinner Sonja cooked pasta and we had a comfortable evening on board.
