This morning I woke up just after 7 am feeling recovered, made Turkish coffee and tea, and an hour later went jogging to explore the area.
Philosophie beim türkischen Kaffee mit / philosophy and Turkish coffee with Duran, Cökertme Restaurant |
When I came back to the Cökertme restaurant, I got into conversation with Duran, who incidentally speaks very well English. He asked me what I think about being the key to happiness and love... enjoying a Turkish coffee I expressed my opinion and explained to him that life on earth has shown me that respect is the most important thing - especially for nature: When we live in symbiosis we help instead of fight against each other. When joining this superior positive energy, we become aware of how codependent everything is... Nature has its own perfect plan and gives the chance only to the best, because only the best can produce fit endowed progeny (be it genetic material or ability to pass on knowledge and increase awareness). In addition, natural decimation inhibits overpopulation... no wonder there is so much hostility among mankind, we hardly have any privacy left! If less people inhabit our planet, one is more willing to help and nobody would come up with such an idiotic idea to prize oneself above others - be it above another human or creature (plants have their justification and big benefit on this planet too!). Hubris and arrogance stir up envy, resentment, intimidation, oppression and traumata... and what traumatized people are capable of I hardly likely have to list up!? What else is important, is that we should not expect anything, but accept trustfully and gratefully what life offers us - everything comes, what and how it must and everything has its reason and meaning... also everything has a solution, maybe not right at that moment! We can only act, learn and develop in the here and now. If we are grateful, we are positive and respectful - that is the key to happiness and love…

After the philosophical exchange with Duran, I got back on the boat just in time for breakfast. Thereafter we went shopping for the most important things (the restaurant also runs a shop, as many do in the remote places we visited).

musste.
At 11 am we set out and today there was finally ideal wind for Sämi to use his beloved spinnaker called 'rag'. A spinnaker is a big sail that catches the wind like a cathedral. After 45 minutes wind was already too strong (+15 knots), so it had to be hoisted back down.

Sonja

Sonja prepared us a süper salad for
lunch and a bit later at 5 pm we arrived at the deserted bay Yedi Adalari
(Turkish: 7 islands), where we intended to anchor in the East Creek. But the
anchor box fitting jammed and broke when we tried to open it... When this
problem was solved, Sonja put the land lines swimming, but we all misjudged the
distance to the land, so we had to tie all our ropes together... Today we
really deserved our happy landing drink, as well as the spectacular sunset! : )
It was cool and windy, that’s why we built a tent around the table in order to
have our dinner (grilled eggplants and pasta à la Sonja) yet still outside...
xxxFranziska
